PLAY! by Sephora Review: November 2016

Hi everyone!

My PLAY! by Sephora box has arrived!

img_4896

I never received a tracking email for this box, so the arrival was a welcomed surprise! 🙂

img_4926

“Best in Glow” is the theme for the November box.

img_4930

So many great tips included in this month’s PLAY! BOOK!  I also enjoy watching the Sehpora unboxing video to learn even more tips and tricks!

img_4985

Box Contents:

  • COVER FX – Illuminating Primer
  • Laura Mercier – Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold
  • MAISON MARGIELA – ‘REPLICA’ Lipstick On
  • Caudalie – Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet
  • Sephora Collection – Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Pin Up Pink
  • GLAMGLOW – THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment
  • Drawstring Bag

img_4951

COVER FX – Illuminating Primer

I’ve been itching to try some new primers recently, so I was very pleased when I pulled this product out of my bag.

I loved the BECCA illuminating primer I received in my June box and ended up using all of it.  This COVER FX primer is fantastic, and I definitely see myself using all of it too!

img_4955

Laura Mercier – Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rose Gold

I’m sure you’ve already figured this out, but I love Love LOVE eye shadows, especially champagne, shimmer ones!  This shadow color is perfect for my everyday, natural look and the stick form is pretty handy!  Just a few swipes and I’m good to go! 🙂

I’ve used this shadow stick everyday since receiving my PLAY! box and will continue to use it until it’s all gone!

img_4935

MAISON MARGIELA – ‘REPLICA’ Lipstick On

I love this product packaging.  I think all the details on the front are super cute and rather informative!

I’ve worn the fragrance once and wasn’t in love with it.  That’s okay though, because I don’t typically enjoy wearing perfume!

img_4937

Caudalie – Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

Before even trying this moisturizer, I was in love!  The pink bottle and the name “sorbet” were instant hits with me!

My skin is having some moisture issues right now, so I can’t form an honest opinion on this moisturizer.  I’m sure I’ll really like it when my skin is back to normal though!

img_4963

Sephora Collection – Ultra Shine Lip Gel in Pin Up Pink

This lip gloss is super duper hot pink looking, so I was rather intimidated by it at first.  I assumed that it would look just terrible one me!

Surprisingly enough, the gloss is actually a sheer pink that’s very flattering!  I think it’ll be a nice color for spring and summer.  I live in Florida, so I will get some use out of it now, but don’t see myself using it in the winter months.

img_4947

GLAMGLOW – THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment

I’m not a huge fan of face masks, so I wasn’t as excited to see this product in my bag as some people might be!  I take a shower right before bed, so face masks really don’t fit in with my nightly routine.

That being said, I did see in the Sephora unboxing video (linked above) that you can sleep in this mask and not worry about washing it off in the morning.  That sort of low maintenance application is right up my alley, so I will be giving it a go tonight!

I already promised one of my friends that she could have the mask, so I better not use too much tonight! 🙂

img_4965

This month’s bag is pretty fun!  I like all the product sketches and that they included the month of the box! 🙂

img_4975

All in all, I’d say that November was a pretty great box for me!

POPSUGAR Must Have Review: November 2016

Hello everyone!

My POPSUGAR Must Have box has arrived, and I’m super excited about it!

img_4771

To receive a fun box of surprise goodies each month, click here!

I try my best to avoid all the spoilers for POPSUGAR each month! I really want my box to be a complete surprise, so I don’t follow POPSUGAR Must Have on social media.  I also don’t look at subscription boxes on Instagram until after mine has arrived.  Unfortunately, I did accidentally stumble upon a spoiler for this box about a week before it arrived! 🙁

I LOVED the spoiler that I saw, so I was rather impatient after that for my box to finally arrive!  Although I did end up enjoying the spoiler, I’m still going to try my best to avoid all the spoilers for the December box!

I want to apologize really quickly for the lighting in all these photos.  I took all the photos at the same time, but the sun seems to have been working against me! 🙁

img_4821

Box Contents:

  • Kendra Scott – Elaina Rose Gold Bracelet in White Pearl
  • Pehr – Chambray Runner Wine
  • Stowaway Cosmetics – Dawn to Dusk Palette
  • AJ Goods – Nest Wire Basket
  • Meri Meri – Star Party Picks
  • Oogie’s Snacks – Oogie’s Gourmet Toffee Butter Popcorn

img_4804

Kendra Scott – Elaina Rose Gold Bracelet in White Pearl – Retail Value $50

I love Love LOVE Kendra Scott jewelry!  I have quite the collection and wear something KS almost every day! This will be my fourth toggle style bracelet of hers.  Yes, I really do have a large collection.  My friends think I’m a tad crazy! 🙂

This was the spoiler I accidentally stumbled upon!  As you can imagine, I was super duper excited when I saw it on Instagram and even more excited when I got my box and had it in my hands!

I’ve been waiting for POPSUGAR to feature another Kendra Scott product for years!  I’m so happy that it finally happened!!

img_4809

Pehr – Chambray Runner Wine – Retail Value $44

I love the design of this table runner!  The colors and pattern are simple and quite attractive.

I think it would be perfect for a Thanksgiving tablescape!

img_4814

I love that there is wine colored fringe on the ends of the runner!  That adds a nice, little touch to it!

img_4796

Stowaway Cosmetics – Dawn to Dusk Palette – Retail Value $25

Eye shadow palettes are always fun in subscription boxes!  I use the Pixi palette from the March box several times a week!

This Stowaway palette has some fantastic, versatile shadows in it that I know I’ll get a lot of use out of. The four shadows on the left are my favorites! I’m not sure I’ll get use out of the navy shadow, but I know I will use all the others!

img_4837

AJ Goods – Nest Wire Basket – Retail Value $35

This bowl would go really well with the table runner above.  Throw some fruit in there and you’ve got a pretty center piece!

This bowl would also be excellent for holding some of my extensive washi tape collection! 🙂

img_4789

Meri Meri – Star Party Picks – Retail Value $8

These party picks would have been PERFECT for my friend’s bachelorette party last week!  If only my box had arrived sooner! Oh well!

I think I’ll save these for a birthday party or perhaps New Year’s Eve!

img_4786

Oogie’s Snacks – Oogie’s Gourmet Toffee Butter Popcorn – Retail Value $2.99

Just like usual, this month’s snack is delicious!

How fun would it be to pick out the snack for each month’s POPSUGAR box?! I would have a ton of fun doing that job! 🙂

img_4850

The total retail value of this month’s box is $164.99.  That’s fantastic!

Honestly, if all this box had it in was the bracelet, it still would’ve totally been worth it to me! That being said, I am still really excited about all the other products! After I get done writing this post, I’m going to eat some more of that yummy popcorn!

PLAY! by Sephora Review: October 2016

Hello everyone!

My PLAY! box has arrived, and I’m so excited to share it with you!

img_4150

“The Cool Cut” is the theme for the October box.  Sephora has dubbed all of these products as the ones to watch!

img_4145

Sephora does it again with the adorable doodles!

img_4194

Box Contents:

  • Smashbox – Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver’s Seat
  • NUDESTIX – Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Belle
  • Too Cool For School – Egg Mellow Cream
  • Skin Inc. – Pure Revival Peel
  • Verb – Leave-In Mist
  • TOM FORD – Orchid Soleil
  • Fabric drawstring bag

img_4163

I love sampling lip colors, so I was rather pumped when I pulled both of these out of my drawstring bag.

Smashbox – Always On Matte Liquid Lipstick in Driver’s Seat

I’m not a huge fan of matte lipsticks, but I love this one! The formula is smooth, and the applicator is great!

Unfortunately, this shade is a little too orange for me, so I’m going to look into purchasing this product in a rosier hue!

NUDESTIX – Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Belle

This stick is pretty cool and has a multitude of uses.  It can be used as a lip liner, lipstick, and a cheek color!  I’ve tried it all three ways and think it’s better suited for my lips than my cheeks.

I think this stick has a hint of orange in it just like the lipstick above.  It’s more wearable for me than the Smashbox lip color though.

img_4156

Too Cool For School – Egg Mellow Cream

I’ve gotten a few freebie, foil packet samples of this product with previous Sephora purchases but haven’t actually given it a try until now.

This is another one of those “do it all” products.  It can be used as a serum, priming moisturizer, eye cream, neck cream, and sleeping mask.  I’ve chosen to use it as an eye cream for now.

The egg extract in this cream certainly gives it a more gooey texture, but I like it.  I don’t know why, but I do!

img_4172

Skin Inc. – Pure Revival Peel

This skin peel is so cool!  I’ve only used it once, but I already love it!

After rubbing it on my face for a few seconds, I could feel (and see) the dead skin balling up and coming off of my face! I know that sounds disgusting, but it’s also really cool!

I’m definitely going to continue using this product! Who knows, I might even purchase it when my sample runs out!

img_4154

Verb – Leave-In Mist

I’m a dork and totally thought that this product’s main function was as a leave-in conditioner!  It wasn’t until I watched Sephora’s unboxing video (and used the mist) that I realized that wasn’t actually the case! Whoopsie!!

This leave-in mist’s main function is as a heat protector. I don’t have a travel size heat protecting spray, so this will serve me well the next time I leave town!

img_4175

TOM FORD – Orchid Soleil

As I’m sure you’ve figured out by now, I’m not a huge fan of most perfume-y smells.  Sadly this perfume doesn’t agree with me.  That’s okay though!  I don’t ever expect to enjoy the perfume samples, so it’s always an exciting surprise when I do.  Perhaps I’ll enjoy next month’s sample!

img_4181

I think the phrase on this month’s bag is cute, but I don’t necessarily love the execution.

I’ve loved every other bag they’ve given out, so I knew there would be one I didn’t like at some point!

Perhaps I’ll give this baggie to a lipstick-loving friend of mine! 🙂

img_4185

This wasn’t my favorite month of PLAY! by Sephora, but I still ended up with some great products that I know I’ll use!

PLAY! by Sephora Review: September 2016

Hello everyone!

My PLAY! by Sephora box arrived a few days ago, and I can’t wait to share all my new goodies with you!

img_3222

I love Sephora’s packaging!  They always knock it out of the park!

img_3234

September’s theme: The Unbasic Basics

img_3237

As you know, I love me some product doodles! 🙂

I love reading all of the tips and tricks that Sephora includes in their PLAY!BOOK each month!  I also enjoy watching their monthly video.  Check it out!

img_3282

Box Contents:

  • Sephora Collection – Rouge Shine Lipstick in Love Spell
  • Anastasia Beverly Hills – Brow Gel
  • Ole Henriksen – Sheer Transformation
  • Kat Von D – Tattoo Liner in Trooper
  • Atelier Cologne – Sud Magnolia
  • Living Proof – Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector
  • Drawstring bag

img_3247

Sephora Collection – Rouge Shine Lipstick in Love Spell

Lip products are one of my favorite things to sample, so I was very excited when I pulled this out of the fabric bag!

Love Spell is a very light, natural pink color.  I think it might be a little too natural for me though.  When applied, I can’t see much difference between this lip color and my lips!  Maybe I’m not applying enough or maybe this just isn’t lip color for me!  We will see!

img_3262

Anastasia Beverly Hills – Brow Gel

I know tons of people are all about brows right now, but I’m not one of them. I don’t actually do anything to my eyebrows except pluck them.

My sister-in-law has been wanting to try some Anastasia products, so I knew she’d want to give this gel a try.  I gave it to her several days ago, and she was so excited!  I’m sure she’ll get way more use out of it than I would have.

img_3264

Ole Henriksen – Sheer Transformation

I received some Ole Henriksen makeup wipes several years ago in another subscription service, but unfortunately, they were so strongly scented that I couldn’t use them.

Thankfully, this moisturizer is unscented, and I like it quite a bit. It’s lightweight, and I have no worries about it irritating my skin.  That’s always a plus!

img_3258

Kat Von D – Tattoo Liner in Trooper

As a mentioned last month, I’m not a big eye liner user.

I love the idea of liquid liners, but I’m just to shaky and unpredictable to be trusted with them.  I actually have a few liquid liners, and when I’m feeling really brave, I do bring them out and give them a whirl.  That doesn’t happen often though!

Like the Anastasia product above, I gave this liner to my sister-in law!  She tried it out right away.  She wasn’t in love with the thickness though.  She would’ve preferred a little thicker of a line from the get go.  However, she did love how much control she had over the application!

img_3252

Atelier Cologne – Sud Magnolia

This is the second Atelier Cologne I’ve received since subscribing to PLAY! in May.  I like the brand and the scents, but I’m surprised that they repeated a brand so soon.

I love that they include a postcard with their fragrance.  That really adds a little something to the product and packaging!

img_3241

Living Proof – Perfect Hair Day Night Cap Overnight Perfector

I’ve really been enjoying new hair products recently, so I was pretty excited when I saw this in my box.  One huge plus to this product is that you can use it with damp hair.  I shower at night, so I don’t like products that require you to wash them off/out in the morning!

Perfect Hair Day reminds me quite a bit of Don’t Despair! Repair, which I’ve now received in both POPSUGAR and PLAY!  I love Don’t Despair! Repair, so I’m quite alright with the products being similar!

img_3269

I always look forward to the drawstring bag each month!  I love every new design!

The little, pink lipstick is just too cute! 🙂

img_3278

I did end up giving away two of this month’s products, but I’m okay with that!  I really like the products that I’m left with!

If you haven’t noticed, I am a little particular about some things, so I do end up giving quite a few subscription box items away every few months!  My friends always enjoy it when I declutter! 🙂

PLAY! by Sephora Review: August 2016

Hi everyone!

As some of you may know, I was on vacation all last week, so I’m a teensy bit late with my PLAY! review this month!  Only by one day though!  That’s not too bad! 🙂

IMG_2303

“The Eye Openers” is the theme for the August box!

Most of this month’s products revolve around the eyes! What a fun theme!  I hope they do a lip theme soon! 🙂

IMG_2304

Along with reading my PLAY!BOOK each month, I also watch Sephora’s unboxing video to learn even more about the featured products!

IMG_2619

Box Contents:

  • Make Up For Ever – Artist Shadow in I-544
  • Clean – Reserve Blonde Rose
  • Caudalie – Resveratrol Eye Lifting Balm
  • Urban Decay – Perversion Mascara
  • Lancôme – Énergie De Vie – Smoothing & Glowing Liquid Care Moisturizer
  • Sephora Collection – Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof – Flirting Game
  • Drawstring Bag

IMG_2321

Make Up For Ever – Artist Shadow in I-544

I use Make Up For Ever  foundation every single day, but I haven’t tried any of their eye shadows until now!

IMG_2323

Every box came with this pink granite shadow sample! So pretty!

This shadow is a little too dark to wear all over my lids, but I really like it as an eyeliner!  I don’t wear eyeliner often, but when I do, I typically use darker eye shadows and apply them with an angled brush.

IMG_2325

Clean – Reserve Blonde Rose

I have yet to make a final decision on whether or not I like this fragrance!  I think I like it from afar but not when it’s too close.  Does that make sense?!  Maybe not!  One spray isn’t bad, but I think it could quickly become overwhelming!

If I can remember, I’m going to try to wear it tomorrow and see how it goes!

IMG_2312

Caudalie – Resveratrol Eye Lifting Balm

I’ve been needing to buy eye cream for a long time now, so I was very pleased when I saw this in my box!  Now I can put off buying eye cream for even longer!

I’ve heard great things about Caudalie products, and so far, I’m a fan!  Who knows?! When I finally get around to buying eye cream, I may just purchase this one!

IMG_2309

Urban Decay – Perversion Mascara

I love Urban Decay and use many of their products.  Perversion mascara isn’t one of my favorites though.

I’ve received samples in other subscription boxes and have even bought the full size before.  After buying the full size, I realized that this mascara isn’t for me!  I think it’s a little too wet, and I always end up with it all around my eyes! 🙁

I gave it to my sister-in-law for her to try!  Hopefully, she’ll like it more than I did!

IMG_2318

Lancôme – Énergie De Vie – Smoothing & Glowing Liquid Care Moisturizer

I didn’t realize how liquidy this moisturizer was until I spilled a good portion of it on the floor when I went to use it for the first time!  I know, I’m a dork! Oh well!

Once I cleaned up the floor, I applied the moisturizer, and I like it!  Its liquid formula is quite a bit different than the moisturizers I’m used to!  I probably won’t end up purchasing this item, but I will definitely finish off the sample!  That won’t be too difficult for me, since I spilled a lot of it! 🙂

IMG_2315

Sephora Collection – Contour Eye Pencil 12hr Wear Waterproof – Flirting Game

As I mentioned above, I don’t wear eyeliner that often.  However, I can see myself using this taupe color more often than I would any of the black liners I own.  The taupe is subtle and will go very well with my blue eyes!

If I wasn’t so shaky and could see better, I would wear eyeliner more often.  Maybe one day soon I will master the art of applying it!  Maybe! Probably not though! 🙂

IMG_2328

The drawstring bags just keep getting cuter and cuter!

IMG_2627

All in all, the August, PLAY! by Sephora box was pretty great for me!  I will use the majority of these products!

POPSUGAR Must Have Review: August 2016

Hello everyone!

My POPSUGAR Must Have box has arrived, and I’m excited to share it with you!

IMG_2574

To receive a fun box of goodies each month like I do, click here!

IMG_2581

The keywords for the August box are, “motivation, organization, order and fresh, transition, back-to-school.”

IMG_2584

Box Contents:

  • Cargo Cosmetics – “The Big Easy” Powder Blush
  • Cookie Pop Popcorn – Cookies & Cream
  • Unplugged – Dusti Screen Cleaner
  • Baggu – Duck Bag
  • Triple C – PowerGloss in Silver
  • Christian Lacroix Paris – Paseo Sticky Note Folio

IMG_2594

Cargo Cosmetics – “The Big Easy” Powder Blush

POPSUGAR sneak peeked this blush in one of their emails earlier this month.  I was pretty pleased when I saw it in my inbox!

IMG_2597

“The Big Easy” is a natural, peachy pink color.  It’s perfect for my everyday makeup routine!

The blush is very soft, so I have to be careful when I use it that I don’t loosen too much and make a mess!  I’ve spilled makeup powder on myself more times than I would like, and try to avoid it as much as I can!

IMG_2606

Cookie Pop Popcorn – Cookies & Cream

As you know, I always look forward to the snack that POPSUGAR includes each month!

This month’s snack did not disappoint! Cookie Pop is sweet without being too sweet, which can happen with some flavored popcorns!

Along with the yummy taste, I’m also quite pleased with the size of this bag!  It’s full size!  That’s a lot of popcorn!! 🙂

IMG_2589

Unplugged – Dusti Screen Cleaner

These little, screen cleaners are quite cute!  The idea is that they stick to your phone case and you can remove them and clean your screen at any time.

I don’t like to stick things on my phone, so I’ll be using these for my laptop instead!  I just cleaned my laptop screen with the raindrop one, and am pleased and grossed out by how much dirt it collected!  EW!

IMG_2609

Baggu – Duck Bag

I love bags!  I purchase and receive entirely too many, but I’m not complaining!

This duck bag is large and versatile.  I can see myself using it quite often!  Unfortunately, this leopard print is not my style!  I wish I’d received one of the other pattern options instead.

I’ve done some research and found a “Swaps” board on one of my favorite subscription box blogs! I found someone who wants the leopard print and will trade me for a navy stripe pattern!  I’m waiting to be accepted to the “Swaps” board, and then I’ll hopefully get the navy stripe pattern I want.  I will get much more use out of the navy than I will the leopard!

IMG_2591

Triple C – PowerGloss in Silver

I’ve always been interested in portable phone chargers, so I was very happy when I saw this charger in my box!

The charger is intended to look like makeup.  They designers certianly succeeded with that!  I really thought this was a lipstick or nail polish when I opened the box!

The one negative is that the little cord it comes with does not fit iPhones.  I find that to be quite odd considering the popularity of Apple products! Oh well! I can plug my own charging cord into the device!

IMG_2601

Christian Lacroix Paris – Paseo Sticky Note Folio

I absolutely love sticky notes and cute notepads!  I have acquired quite the collection over the years!

IMG_2602

The ombre pattern makes these sticky notes super fun!

I also really like the little book aspect!  I can easily take these sticky notes with me and use whatever color I’m feeling at the moment!

IMG_2577

The August box has a total retail value of $104.98!  That’s a little less than the usual total value, but it’s still great for a $40 box!

PLAY! by Sephora Review – July 2016

Hello everyone!

My PLAY! by Sephora box has arrived, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

IMG_1551

Popsicles!! Nothing says summer like Popsicles!

IMG_1584

The July theme is “Effortless Summer.” Sounds great to me!

IMG_1587

As always, the PLAY! BOOK is full of tons of tips and tricks for this month’s products.

IMG_1561

Box Contents:

  • NEST Fragrances – Citrine
  • First Aid Beauty – Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay
  • Ouai – Wave Spray
  • Smashbox – Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer
  • beautyblender – blotterazzi
  • Too Faced – Soleil Matte Bronzer – Chocolate
  • Drawstring Bag

IMG_1580

NEST Fragrances – Citrine

Unlike like last month’s fragrance sample, this one is a little too much for me.  I like how it smells in passing, but it’s too fragrant for me to wear.  No big deal though!  I never expect to like the perfumes!

IMG_1566

First Aid Beauty – Skin Rescue Deep Cleanser with Red Clay

I’ve been using this cleanser for several days now with my Clarisonic.  It works well and smells great! It has a minty almost menthol scent to it!

Although I like it, I don’t think I’ll be switching from my usual face soap.  I will continue to use it until I finish it.  I might even throw it in my travel bag for my next trip!

IMG_1574

Ouai – Wave Spray

I’m not a huge fan of beach spray hair products, but I gave this one the benefit of the doubt and tried it out!

You can use it on either damp or dry hair.  I tried it out on my dry hair and wasn’t in love with the results!  It just kind of looked like I hadn’t brushed my hair that day! YUCK!

IMG_1569

Smashbox – Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer

I use a pore minimizing primer almost every day, so I was quite pleased to see this in my box!  I typically use Benefit’s version but Smashbox’s is great too!

I’ve almost finished using the Becca primer from last month.  I’ll be adding this one into the mix as well!

IMG_1571

beautyblender – blotterazzi

I absolutely LOVE my beautyblender, so I was very excited to see one of their products in my box this month!

Blotterazzi is a blotting sponge that won’t disturb your makeup when removing oil.  I don’t have an overly oily face, but I do need to blot every now and then. I’ll be sticking this little sponge in my purse just for those occasions!

IMG_1576

Too Faced – Soleil Matte Bronzer – Chocolate

I mentioned last month, that I’m not a big fan of bronzers.  I don’t ever use them.  However, I can use powder bronzers as eye shadows, which is what I’m doing with this one.

One thing I absolutely love about this bronzer is the smell! It smells just like hot chocolate!  How yummy is that?! It’s funny to smell chocolate while applying your makeup, but it’s also kind of fun too! 🙂

IMG_1581

I think this drawstring bag is my favorite one to date!  I just love the pink Popsicle!

I’m still not sure what I’m going to do with all these bags!  I better think of something quick though!  I imagine there are quite a few more of them in my future!

IMG_1589

Aside from the funky wave spray and perfume sample, I’m very pleased with this month’s PLAY! box!  I know I’ll get great use out of many of these products!  The ones that I won’t use will be given to a friend of mine who loves trying out new things too!

PLAY! by Sephora Review – June 2016

Hello everyone!

My second PLAY! by Sephora box has arrived, and I can’t wait to share it with you!

IMG_0956

The theme for the month of June is “The Minimalists.”

IMG_0972

Sephora is going for a “less is more” look this month.

I like the minimalist look myself.  I wear makeup everyday and have no problems with it, but I feel like some people completely over do it in their everyday lives!

IMG_0976

I can’t get over how cute and informative their PLAY! BOOK is.

The drawings are adorable and they give you some really useful tips!

IMG_0967

Box Contents:

  • Bumble and bumble – Don’t Blow It
  • bareMinerals – bareSkin Bronzer
  • Benefit Cosmetics – They’re Real! Mascara
  • BECCA – Backlight Priming Filter
  • TARTE – Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30
  • TOCCA Beauty – Florence
  • Drawstring Bag

IMG_0990

Bumble and bumble – Don’t Blow It

The idea of this product is that it gives your hair the look of a blow dry without actually having to blow dry it!  That sounds fantastic!  All you have to do is apply it to towel dried hair and then let air dry!  Sounds super easy to me!

I wash my hair at night and sleep with it wet.  Because of that, I haven’t had a chance to give this a try yet!  You could argue that I could sleep with this product in my hair, but I don’t think it’ll look blow dried in the morning after being mashed into my pillow all night!

As soon as I get a chance, I will be giving this a try! I can’t wait to see the results!

IMG_0980

bareMinerals – bareSkin Bronzer

I have very fair skin, so I’ve never really used any bronzing products.  I’m quite comfortable with my fairness, and most bronzers are too dark for me anyway.

I won’t be getting any use out of this product, but I’m sure one of my friends will!

IMG_0988

Benefit Cosmetics – They’re Real! Mascara

I love Benefit products!  I use quite a few in my everyday routine!

I’ve used the They’re Real! Mascara in the past and it’s nice.  However, I prefer Benefit’s Roller Lash mascara.

The brush on They’re Real! is a huge selling point for many women, but I don’t actually like it.  I’m afraid I’ll poke myself in the eye with it!

Even though I prefer the Roller Lash, I will still keep this mascara in my rotation!  When I use up my current tube of Roller Lash, I’ll most likely start using They’re Real! again!

IMG_0997

BECCA – Backlight Priming Filter

I’ve never used any BECCA products before, so I was so excited to see this primer in my box!

I’ve been using it for several days now, and I like it!  It gives my skin a dewy look, which is different, but not bad!

I don’t think I’ll be making this my everyday primer, but I will definitely continue using it!

IMG_0994

TARTE – Tarteguard 30 Sunscreen Lotion Broad Spectrum SPF 30

As I mentioned earlier, I’m very fair, so sunscreen is one of my best friends!

I went on vacation in May (and got quite a burn), so I wish this product had been in the May box instead of the June!  I’ll be going on vacation again in August and will definitely use it then!

The sunscreen is very light and smells great!  It’ll be perfect for layering under makeup or by itself!

TOCCA Beauty – Florence

I love the packaging of this sample!  The little birdies are too cute!

IMG_0984

I’m very sensitive to perfume smells, so I’m always worried about whether or not I’ll like the samples I receive!  Luckily, I love this one!

Florence is light and fresh!  I’ve worn it twice this week, and it’s been great! I think I’ll wear it again tomorrow!

IMG_0977

Once again, Sephora packed all of their fantastic samples in a fabric, drawstring bag!

I love these bags!  The quality is fantastic, and I think it adds quite a bit to the box!

IMG_1002

Aside from the bronzer, I will use/have used all of these products!  I’d say June was a success!!

PLAY! by Sephora Review – May 2016

Hi everyone!

I’m so excited to share my first PLAY! box with you!  I’ve been wanting this box for months and finally got my hands on it!!

IMG_0389

I love the striped packaging!  It’s so fun!

IMG_0391

Each box comes with a PLAY! BOOK and a PLAY!PASS that is good for a free one-on-one tutorial and 50 extra Beauty Insider points with any purchase!  How awesome is that?!

IMG_0433

When the booklet is completely unfolded, there are details, tips, and tricks on each product featured in the box.

I love how there’s a little drawing of each product instead of a photo!  So cute!!

IMG_0430

The theme for the May box is ” The Forces of Nature.”

Box Contents:

  • Atelier Cologne – Orange Sanguine
  • Korres – Wild Rose Sleeping Facial
  • Tarte – Lip Crayon – Latergram
  • Briogeo – Don’t Despair, Repair! – Deep Conditioning Mask
  • Bite Beauty – Amuse Bouche Lipstick – Kimchi
  • Origins – Maskimizer + Drink Up & Clear Improvement Masks
  • Drawstring goodie bag

IMG_0426

Atelier Cologne – Orange Sanguine

I’m very particular when it comes to perfumes and scents, so I don’t ever wear them.  However, I love citrus and like how this cologne smells!  I’m very surprised that I actually like the scent!

I’m going to go way outside my comfort zone and wear this cologne one day to see how I like the scent when it’s actually on me!

IMG_0415

Korres – Wild Rose Sleeping Facial

I’ve been replacing my nightly moisturizer with this product for several days now, and I really like it!  The rose scent is pretty light and my face looks great after I use it!

My friend, Lindsey, really enjoys this product as well!  She purchased the full-size a little while ago, so I know she’s looking forward to receiving this travel size in her PLAY! box!

IMG_0416

Tarte – Tarteist Lip Crayon – Latergram

I love Tarte products, but I haven’t had a chance to try any of the products from their Tarteist line yet. So I was very excited to see this lip liner in my box!

The color is a very neutral mauve, and I think I will get lots of use out of it!  I actually own a lipstick from Bite Beauty that matches it perfectly.  The lipstick color is called “Latte.”

IMG_0419

Briogeo – Don’t Despair, Repair! – Deep Conditioning Mask

I’ve never used a hair mask before, so I was quite intrigued by this product!  I used it in the shower last night, but I really didn’t notice any difference in my hair.  However, my mom did compliment my hair today and said it looked very pretty, so I do believe it did something!  I’m going to try it again soon, and then maybe I’ll notice a difference myself!

I’m not exactly sure what the scent of this mask is, but I really like it!  Before I had a chance to smell it, a friend of mine told me that she thought it smelled bad.  Thankfully, I disagree with her! 🙂

IMG_0407

Bite Beauty – Amuse Bouche Lipstick – Kimchi

As I mentioned earlier in this post, I own quite a few Bite Beauty lipsticks and absolutely love them!  As you can imagine, I was very excited to see one of their mini lipsticks in this box!

IMG_0412

The color of the lipstick is Kimchi and is described on the Sephora website as a “Shocking Pink.”  I definitely agree with that description.  This pink is very bright!

I’m sure plenty of girls can pull off this color, unfortunately though, I don’t think I’m one of them! 🙁

IMG_0421

Origins – Maskimizer + Drink Up & Clear Improvement Masks

I don’t do face masks very often, but I like the idea of a mask primer!

IMG_0424

Along with the mask primer, this little packet comes with two different masks. One mask cleans out pores and the other is hydrating.

I have sensitive skin and am very worried about irritation.  I’ve already changed my skincare routine by adding in the Korres sleeping facial, so I am going to wait a few days before giving these masks and this primer a try!

IMG_0402

Lastly, we have the drawstring bag that all of these goodies came in!

This is such an adorable bag with a fantastic design!  I love little bags, so I hope Sephora gives out a few more bags like this in the coming months!

I’m not sure what I’ll be keeping in my little goodie bag yet, but I’ll definitely be using it!

IMG_0398

I’m so happy with my very first PLAY! by Sephora subscription box!

I will certainly be using most of these products, and I can’t wait to see what comes in next month’s box!

POPOPSUGAR Must Have Review: December 2015

Hi everyone!

It’s time for my monthly POPSUGAR Must Have review!

IMG_7026

I’m home from college on break right now and had to mess with my shipping to make sure I received this box in time!  They never sent me a tracking email, so my box arrived one day and was a pleasant surprise for me!

IMG_7029

Box Contents:

  • Luv Aj The Rose – Gold Ombré Bracelet
  • Stowaway Cosmetics – Crème Lipstick Trio
  • Nima Oberoi – Lunares Geo Stopper
  • Swing Design Nova – Blue Mist Jewelry Box
  • My Cup of Cake – Classic Belgian Chocolate

IMG_7084

Luv Aj The Rose – Gold Ombré Bracelet – Retail Value $65

This bracelet is very nice and has great weight to it.  I was surprised when I saw the value of it.  Quite impressive!

I just wish it was one metal color and not three, but it’s still very nice.  I think it’ll make a great gift for someone in the future!

IMG_7059

Stowaway Cosmetics – Crème Lipstick Trio – Retail Value $30

I was super excited when I saw these lipsticks in my box!  I love trying new lipsticks and these minis are adorable!

IMG_7068

I know the flash is harsh on this photo but it was the best way to show you the color variations.

IMG_7073

The colors are muted plum, raspberry, and cranberry.

I really love the muted plum color and the red is nice too.   Unfortunately, the raspberry is a little too pink for me, so I gave it my friend, Lindsey, to enjoy!

IMG_7091

Nima Oberoi – Lunares Geo Stopper – Retail Value $24

This wine stopper is so pretty and luxurious!

I’m not a big wine drinker, but maybe I’ll become one so I can use my new topper! 🙂

It would also make a great housewarming or hostess gift!

IMG_7074

Swing Design Nova – Blue Mist Jewelry Box – Retail Value $36

This jewelry box is absolutely beautiful! My mom was with me when I unboxed everything, and she loved it as well!

IMG_7087

I like that it has the ribbon to keep the box from flopping all the way open. Super handy!

IMG_7092

My Cup of Cake – Classic Belgian Chocolate – Retail Value $5.99

I’ve tried mug cake mixes like this before and they are fantastic!

I’m saving this one until I get back to school, but I’m sure it’ll be delicious!

IMG_7094

Meri Meri – Silver Stars on White Glitter Tape – Retail Value $4

If you follow me on Instagram, you know how much I love washi tapes for my planner.  When I saw this tape, I thought it would be perfect. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it’s a different type of tape.  I won’t be able to use it for my planner, but I’m sure I’ll use it for something else!

IMG_7099

Tiny Prints – Gift Tag Stickers & Coupon – Retail Value $20

These gift tags are quite cute!  It came with a bunch of them too!

I don’t think I’ll be using the promo code included with the gift tags though.  I have no real need for it.

IMG_7055

The total retail value for the December box is $164.99 not including the Tiny Prints coupon.  That’s an awesome value!

I love how the December box included a lot of items that would be great for gifting!  I won’t be gifting them all, but I’m sure I’ll gift a few!
