For starters, I’ll share with you where I like to get my place cards! My favorite shop is UNIQOOO. They have their own website, but also have a ton of their products available with Prime Shipping — I’m a huge fan of Prime, so I always like to make my purchases through Amazon!

All of the projects outlined below are very simple! All can be accomplished with a paint brush, acrylic paint, and a paint pen. Simply paint your desired pattern on one side of your acrylic place card, wait for the paint to completely dry, flip your place card over, and write your message on the “blank” side. And ta-da! You are all done!

Place Cards

The most obvious answer — place cards! Add a little spice to your weekly family dinner or jazz up a holiday celebration with a few personalized place cards! Because of the pandemic, my family was unable to spend Easter together this year. Instead of getting together, we all contributed a little bit to a holiday meal that my parents delivered around town. My contribution? Place cards!!

Since Easter, my family still has not been able to gather for a holiday meal, but once we can, we will be bringing our matching place cards together for a long-awaited family meal! Also, I will probably end up making place cards for Christmas and other holidays as well! They’re just too cute not to have a whole collection!

For this project, I used UNIQOOO’s rectangle acrylic place cards along with Liquitex Green Gray acrylic paint, and a gold, oil-based paint pen.

Holiday Cards – Valentine’s Day, Birthdays, Etc.

Add some flair to your next holiday greeting! I used an acrylic place card to make a Valentine for my sweet niece (who LOVES the holiday). As you can see here, she is quite tickled by the greeting! I also have it on good authority that she likes to carry around her special Easter place card too!

For this project, I used UNIQOOO’s rectangle acrylic place cards, along with Liquitex paints, and a white, oil-based paint pen.

I also recently made a birthday “card” for one of my friends. I think this little hexie would be adorable as a gift wrap addition too! A little double sided tape on the back and it would adhere to any gift quite nicely!

I will definitely be using these to make fun gift tags when Christmas comes around too! Stay tuned for that in a few months!

For this project, I used UNIQOOO’s hexagon acrylic place cards, along with Liquitex paints, and a white, oil-based paint pen.

Acrylic Tokens of Encouragement - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

Words & Tokens of Encouragement

Last but not least, my absolute favorite way to use acrylic place cards is as tokens of encouragement! I absolutely love motivational quotes and other little sayings as a means of inspiration! Right when I need a little boost of encouragement, a meaningful quote always pops up on my Instagram, Facebook, or Pinterest feed, which I love!

These little tokens are my way of being that bit of inspiration in my friends’ lives

These cheerful lemons and monstera leaves are my current favorites! They’re just so happy and fun and bring an instant smile to my face! I actually filmed a few lettering videos featuring each of these and shared on Instagram if you’re interested in taking a look! Here is the lemon video and the monstera leaf one.

I also created a collection of white, blush pink, and gold tokens of encouragement, which I mailed to work colleagues for Valentine’s Day! I’m not sure where each lady placed theirs, but in my head, they’re sitting on their desks as a simple reminder that they rock at their jobs and to keep shining bright!

Again for this project I used, I used UNIQOOO’s rectangle acrylic place cards along with Liquitex paints, and a gold, oil-based paint pen.

Now, the above are just 3 uses for acrylic place cards! There are so many other great uses that I haven’t explored yet! When I come up with new ideas, I’ll be sure to share on Instagram, so make sure you give me a follow if you haven’t already!
