This is the motif we will be using.

IMG_0236Print out the motif, and trace it with your Sharpie.

In the beginning, I wasn’t going to stitch the cherry.  Later on, I decided I wanted it, so I added it in.  It’s up to you!

IMG_0239Using your pencil, trace the design onto your fabric.

IMG_0241We’re going to start with our yellow thread and Back Stitch the cone.

IMG_0246Since our design is so small, I decided to use smaller stitches.

IMG_0249If I ever stitch this design again, I’m going to make the stitches intersect instead of overlap on the body of the cone.  I’m not a fan of how jumbled this looks.IMG_0250Now, we stitch the ice cream!

IMG_0253You can switch the ice cream colors if you’d like!

Two of the same colored scoops would look adorable, or you could add an extra scoop or two!

IMG_0256We’re going to Satin Stitch the cherry, but first, we need to Back Stitch the outline.

IMG_0260Now, Satin Stitch over your outline.

My cherry ended up more of an oval than a circle.  Whoopsie!

IMG_0262Add a little, curved stem to the cherry.

IMG_0269Our ice cream cone is complete!

Isn’t it adorable?!

A perfect summer craft!

Happy Crafting!!
