Hi everyone!
I haven’t been that pleased with Ipsy lately, so I decided to try a different beauty subscription.
After quite a bit of research, I settled on Allure Sample Society!
I got my first box a few days ago, and I can’t wait to review it for you! This might be a little weird but I was really surprised by the quality of this box. It’s very sturdy and will be great to reuse when wrapping presents and the like! 🙂
The first thing I saw when I opened my box was this mini magazine.
The magazine features a letter from the Allure Beauty Director and a page about each product included in the box, Here are two of the pages from the mini magazine.
Box contents:
- Benefit – Roller Lash Mascara
- Juice Beauty – Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer
- Oscar Blandi – Pronto Texture & Volume Spray
- (MALIN + GOETZ) – Mojito Lip Balm
- Cargo – Essential Lip Gloss
I was really excited when I saw that I’d be receiving the Benefit mascara! I love Benefit and am always willing to try out a new mascara! Here’s a little card from Benefit telling all about the new wand they created for their Roller Lash Mascara.
I’m not used to the plastic bristle type of mascara wand like the Roller Lash features. I usually go for the “regular” bristle wand. (That doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but I think you know what I’m talking about!)
I’ve been using this mascara for a few days now, and I really like it! Juice Beauty – Green Apple Age Defy Moisturizer
I’ve never used a scented moisturizer before. This one has a light and fun apple scent!
I’ve heard great things about this moisturizer, so I can’t wait to give it a try! Oscar Blandi – Pronto Texture & Volume Spray
While reading about this product in the mini magazine, I discovered that it doubles as a dry shampoo-like product. That’s really cool!
It also smells really good! (MALIN + GOETZ) – Mojito Lip Balm
I received this same lip balm in my January Ipsy bag.
I’m not used to the gel formula of this balm, but I still like it. It has a great subtle scent!
Since I already have one, I think I’m going to give this balm to a friend! Cargo – Essential Lip Gloss – Tahiti
When I first opened the box and saw this lip gloss, I was really disappointed. At first glance, this gloss looks really orange. I’m not an orange lip gloss fan, so I was not pleased.
After applying, I really started to fall in love with it though! Tahiti is the perfect natural color for my lips!
When there’s a lot of gloss in one place, it looks really orange. When it’s spread out though, it’s quite pretty!
I’m really pleased with my first Allure Sample Society box!
I can’t wait to see what April has in store for me!
Do you get Allure Sample Society? What do you think of the March box?
