The month is quickly coming to a close, but it looks like fall is finally starting to arrive in the Sunshine State. Can I get a hallelujah?! Fall is arriving in the nick of time because my October favorites are perfect for cooler temperatures! Let’s dive in!
I’ve been on the hunt for a good utility jacket for years now. Granted, I’ve been a lazy hunter, so I could’ve found one sooner. But here we are!
I was actually served an ad on Instagram for this utility jacket and immediately added it to my cart!
If you’re wary of Amazon clothing, don’t be! With Prime, you have free (pretty much no hassle) returns and there’s also Prime Wardrobe, which lets you try clothing items for free for seven days or so.
Over the years, I’ve bought quite a few clothing items on Amazon and have had more positive experiences than negative ones. Especially when it comes to Amazon-owned brands.
So this jacket. The fabric is pretty heavy-duty and will actually keep you warm on cooler days. I don’t think it’d be great for super cold winter weather, but for fall days and nights? Totally perfect!
It cinches at the waist, so you can make it as fitted or loose as you want. It comes in eight or nine colors (I own the dark olive and the washed pink) and best of all, it’s about $35! Talk about a steal!
I’ve been wearing both of mine nonstop since I got them, and I foresee myself wearing them well into the Florida winter and years to come!
Let me start by saying, I LOVE Madewell jeans. Almost all my jeans are from Madewell. The quality and fits are fantastic, and depending on the style you buy, they’re at a good price point too.
For skinny jeans, I’m all about the Roadtrippers. I’m about 5’ 8”, so I go back and forth between standard and tall inseams. I find that standards fit me like ankle pants and talls fit me like full-length pants.
I recently discovered their mom jeans and have officially fallen in love! Now, Madewell describes these jeans as a “modern take” on the mom jean. If the term “mom jean” immediately makes you say “ew, gross!” I suggest you give these ones a try!
I can attest, they are nice and fitted through the waist and hip and then straight through the thigh and calf.
I’ve been wearing these mom jeans at least once, sometimes even twice, a week since I bought them. They’re so flattering!
For sizing, I tried both the tall and the standard and found that the standards fit me best in this style.
I’ve talked about Rothy’s before in last year’s October Faves post, and am back to say I still love them!
I just recently got this pair of leopard slip-ons and think they’re so fun! In my opinion, leopard is somewhat of a neutral, so these cuties go with so many things!
For sizing, I did go up half a size and ordered the 8.5. I like to wear socks with all closed-toed shoes, and going up half a size allows me to comfortably do that!
From here on out, I think I’m going to go up half a size every time I get a new pair of Rothy’s.
I haven’t tried it yet, but one of the huge perks to Rothy’s shoes is that they’re machine washable! How awesome is that! I tend to get my sneakers and slip ons pretty dirty (it’s all the dog walking that I do), so I love that these will be super easy to clean!
There you have it! My October favorites! I can guarantee you I’ll be wearing all of these on repeat throughout November and into the Florida winter months as well!
