January Favorites: 2021

January Faves - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

A new year is here and I’m coming at you with a few of my January favorites! Two of these favorites are brand new to me while the third is something I’ve loved for a while and am starting to embrace even more as the days go on!

January Favorites

Bridgerton Soundtrack on Spotify

I’m sure you’ve heard about Bridgerton by now, a new Netflix series that dropped on Christmas Day. If not though, it’s a fun watch that’s kind of like a cross between Gossip Girl, The Crown, and Downton Abbey. It’s a Netflix Original and is a little steamier than all those shows though, so be warned if you decide to watch with kiddos nearby!

I watched the whole series (only eight episodes right now) in a matter of days and quickly recommended that my friends start watching too. I watch a lot of shows with closed captioning and during this one, I noticed that the soundtrack included string quartet versions of popular songs like “bad guy,” “Wildest Dreams,” and “thank you, next.”

Shortly after finishing the show, I saw on Instagram that there’s a Spotify playlist featuring all the string quartet songs. I pulled up the playlist and was instantly hooked! It’s now replaced folklore and evermore as my most played album these last few weeks.

I enjoy listening to upbeat music without words sometimes. It can be easier to concentrate when lyrics aren’t competing for your attention.

Lele Sadoughi Headbands

I received my first Lele Sadoughi headband in my FabFitFun Winter 2020 box last month and quickly fell in love! Shortly after receiving the maroon headband in that box, I purchased both black velvet and ivory velvet versions of their slim headbands.

I am surprised and happy to report that these headbands, while thick, are actually very comfortable! I’ve worn them for 5+ hours at a time, while wearing my glasses too, and haven’t had any issues at all!

I do have thinner hair, so I went with the “slim” versions that they offer and love them so much! I went with black velvet and ivory velvet, because I figured I would get the most use out of neutrals and that one or the other would match virtually every outfit. And you know what? I wasn’t wrong! I’ve been wearing them several times a week since I purchased them in December.

Long-Sleeve Turtleneck T-Shirt

I’ve been slowly but surely growing my turtleneck collection over the last few years, but theses last few months, I’ve doubled-down on my efforts and have added so many great turtles to my closet!

And this Target one from the A New Day line is fantastic! The price is just right, it’s super soft, and very flattering! I like to pair my turtles with skinny jeans, mom jeans, overalls, puffy vests, anything and everything! Turtlenecks are so versatile, comfy (in my opinion), and chic! Pop a headband on top (maybe the Lele one above) and you have a cozy and cute outfit!

I also have quite a few turtlenecks from Loft and Gap and love them too! These ones are slightly more expensive, but you can get great deals if you shop their sales. I just got two Loft turtles for less than $10 each. One was $6.90. Talk about a great deal!

Affiliate links are in use in this post, however, all opinions are my own, and I truly love and use each of my January favorites.
