Hello everyone!

My PLAY! by Sephora box has arrived, and I’m excited to share it with you!

The theme for January is “Beauty, Set, Go.”

A fun, little “fresh start” “girl on-the-go” kind of thing!

tarte – FRXXXTION Stick

I’ve never seen face cleanser in a stick form before.  I think the stick form is pretty cool!  When cleanser comes in a bottle, I inevitably end up dumping a little on the floor at some point. Since this soap is in stick form, that’ll never happen.  How handy!!

I’ve never tried a charcoal cleanser before, so the black color of the soap was new for me.  It was rather fun!  I actually saw the tip of my nose turning black, so I hopped out of the shower so I could see what my entire face looked like! 🙂

OUAI – Treatment Masque

Since receiving the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair mask several months ago, I’ve fallen in love with hair masks!

I enjoy trying new things (as evidenced by my love of subscription boxes), so I was quite intrigued when I saw this hair mask in my box.

I was rather surprised when my PLAY! BOOK said that one treatment could end up using the entire sample bottle.  I don’t like the idea that you may only get one use out of a sample.  It seems like a bit of a waste to me.  How can you accurately judge whether or not you like a product or whether a product likes you off of one application?  Luckily, I only ended up using about half for my first treatment.

My hair feels very soft today, but I think I like my Briogeo mask better.  I don’t end up using nearly as much product, and I get the same results.

Tory Burch – Love Relentlessly

My nose has been rather stuffed up recently, so I haven’t been able to tell whether or not I like this fragrance! 🙁

However, I do really like the pink and gold packaging!

Youth to the People – Kale + Spinach + Hyaluronic Acid Age Prevention Cream

This moisturizer is very light and agrees well with my skin.

I had a problem last week with a moisturizer that was too heavy for me (uh oh!) and am very glad that this one is light.  I also like that it’s anti-aging!  It’s never too early to start preventing wrinkles!! 🙂

Clinique – Almost Lipstick in Black Honey

Clinique is actually the first makeup brand I ever tried, and I used it for many, many years.  I still use them for the majority of my skincare.

Throughout the years, I’ve received tons and tons of free samples of Black Honey, but hadn’t ever really given it a try until now.

The lipstick appears to be quite dark but is actually very light once it’s applied.  It slightly enhances my natural lip color and is quite pretty.  It’s perfect for everyday wear!

AmorePacific – Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+

I’ve been waiting for a foundation/BB/CC cream sample to come in my box!  Unfortunately, neither of these colors worked for me.  I have very fair skin, and both of these were just a little too dark for me.

That’s okay though.  I know how difficult it must be to match the skin tone of each and every subscriber that Sephora has.

I do like that this sample came with two colors though.  I’m sure it worked out for many people!

This month’s drawstring bag is plastic on the front and mesh on the back.

The quote is, “Sweat is just another way to glow.”

This bag and quote definitely goes with the theme for the month, but I am not a fan.

That’s okay though.  I’ve been subscribing for nine months now, and this is the first bag I have truly disliked.  I’m actually glad I don’t like it, because I won’t feel bad when I throw it away! I like all the other month’s bag, so I haven’t thrown a single one away yet!

January wasn’t my favorite month of PLAY! by Sephora, but I do like a few of the products.

I’m going to tuck the Clinique lipstick in my purse and finish off the hair mask sometime this week!

Do you subscribe to PLAY! by Sephora?!

What do you think of your January box?

<3 Natalie
