This bow is very similar to last week’s bow. The only difference is that this bow has tails!

I love all bows (obvi!), but I think bows with tails might be my favorite kind of ribbon bows!

Supplies:

Just like our last bow tutorial, I have a video that breaks everything down for you!

And just like that, another bow has been born! 🙂

Tribal Kiss Planner Stickers: Free Printable

Hello planner friends!

It’s printable time!!

PBTT Tribal Kiss Digital Without Text

I went with a pastel tribal theme this week!

I had the hardest time coming up with a name for this sheet!  I enlisted the help of a few close friends, and they came up with the “Tribal Kiss” name!  I think the name perfectly melds the arrows with the girly, pastel colors! 🙂

PBTT Tribal Kiss Sticker Sheet

Here’s a better look at the printable!

I’m really loving the reminder hearts this week!  They are just too cute!

This printable will look great with the purples of September and the mint greens of March in the vertical Erin Condren LifePlanner.

Before I give you the file, there are a few things I’d like to say.  I spent a lot of time designing and creating this printable, so please be kind when you use it.

  • Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes printables are for personal use only
  • You may not re-sell, redistribute, or claim this work as your own
  • If you post this on the internet, please give the credit to Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes and link it back to my blog (pinkbowstwinkletoes.com)

Eyeshadow 101 – Warm Gold Shimmer

This eyeshadow stick is a crème to powder formula!  I have two other Eyeshadow 101s and a very similar product from Nars.

IMG_8344

Each Eyeshadow 101 stick has shadow on one end and a smudger tool on the other.

I like how this product has a smudger on one end!  It makes blending the shadow so easy!

IMG_8346

I went ahead and swatched the shadow for you.

I know my hand looks rather red in the picture, but I have very fair skin!

The gold shadow has a great shimmer to it but isn’t to harsh for me!  I love it!

Nail Polishes

Meghan – Classic With a Twist – Flaming Red Crème

Shortly after opening my box, I painted my toes with this beautiful red polish!

I would classify this red to be more orangey and less of a true red.  I still love it though!

It really POPS against my skin tone and is perfect for springtime!

Kay – Classic With a Twist – Warm Taupe With Gold Microshimmer

I haven’t used this polish yet, but I think it’s going to be a great neutral for me! I really love its subtle shimmer!

Perhaps I’ll paint my toenails with Kay when Meghan chips off!

IMG_8332

Here is this month’s quote and coupon!

As always, the coupon is good for two uses!  The expiration date is a little different though!  This coupon doesn’t expire until April 15th!  What a deal?!

I’m very pleased with my February box!  I’ve already used two out of the three products!

Do you subscribe to Julep Maven?!

What do you think of your February box?

DIY Planner Dividers: Personal Size

Hi everyone!

I have a super easy paper crafting project for you today!

I recently purchased a kikki.K personal planner!  I love my new planner, but I didn’t love the dividers that came with it.  I’ve seen so many cute handmade dividers online, so I decided to make some myself!

IMG_8265

Here’s a little sneak preview of the finished product!

IMG_7782

Supplies:

  • Large paper dividers or file folders
  • Paper cutter
  • Glue dots
  • Pencil
  • Scissors
  • Dividers that already fit your planner
  • Decorative papers and appliques
  • 6-hole punch (find one here)

The dividers I have came with seven tabs.  I knew I only wanted four tabs for my dividers, so I had to make a few adjustments to make the dividers fit and not look awkward!

IMG_7785

You’re going to start by tracing your first divider onto one of the large file folders.

IMG_7786

Leave a little space at the bottom of the first tab.

IMG_7788

Take the next divider “in line” and scooch it up a little to create a larger tab for your first divider.  Finish tracing the rest of the tab.

IMG_7790

This is actually a picture of the second divider, but you can still see what the divider tabs should look like.

Once you have the dividers drawn out, cut them with your paper cutter.  I cut all the straight edges first.

IMG_7792

At first, I wasn’t sure how I was going to cut the tabbed side of the divider.  I decided to cut part of it with the paper cutter and the actual tab area with a pair of scissors.

While using the paper cutter, I had to be very careful not to accidentally slice my tab right off!  To avoid that happening, I stopped the paper cutter about half an inch from the tab on each side.  I then finished cutting it with some scissors.

Getting the inside corners perfectly rounded was pretty tough, but I think I managed okay!

IMG_7795

Here are all the cut out dividers!

You may have noticed that there are five papers in the picture!  About halfway through my project, I decided to make a dashboard to match my dividers!

To make the dashboard, just line up all of your original dividers, trace around them, and then cut it out!  It’s super easy!

IMG_7826

I love the striped, metallic dividers, but I wanted to add a little something else to them!

I found these fun Project Life cards and cardboard appliques at Hobby Lobby.  When I saw them, I knew they’d be perfect for this project!

IMG_7800

I played around with a few different design options.

IMG_7829

Here’s what I decided on!

IMG_7832

I used some adhesive, glue dots to attach all of the decorative items.  I’m rather heavy handed with every kind of adhesive, so you may not find this many glue dots necessary! 🙂

IMG_7918

Now it’s time to punch the holes!  Once all of the holes are punched, your dividers are complete!

Dividers

Here are all of the finished dividers!

Aren’t they so cute?!  I love the light pink with all of the gold accents! So classy!

IMG_8244

I absolutely love the way the dashboard and dividers look with my light blue planner and matching, pink planner clips!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this little tutorial!

Happy Crafting and Happy Planning!

How To – Carve a Rubber Stamp

Hi everyone!

My cousin gave me a stamp carving kit for Christmas, and I’m finally getting around to using it! IMG_2343IMG_2347Box Contents:

  • Design templates
  • Transfer sheet
  • Pencil
  • Block with carvable rubber sides
  • Wooden handle with five gouges
  • Ink pad

IMG_2349There are lots of fun designs to choose from!

As you might’ve guessed, I love bows, so I chose one of the bows for my first stamp! IMG_2352Lay the transfer paper over your design and trace with a pencil. IMG_2356Flip the transfer sheet (lead side down) onto the rubber block.

Rub your thumb along the transfer sheet.  The pressure from your thumb should transfer the lead onto the rubber block. IMG_2359Transfer complete! IMG_2367Load the smallest gouge into the handle.  It should just press right in. IMG_2369Use the smallest gouge to (slowly) carve around the design.

If you get going too fast, you might accidentally carve too far into your design. IMG_2373IMG_2375IMG_2378Once you’re a comfortable distance away from your design, start using the large gouges to clear away the excess rubber. IMG_2388IMG_2390IMG_2394Once you’ve trimmed the edges and cleaned it up a bit, your stamp is complete!! IMG_2395Isn’t it adorable?!

I’m in love with my new stamp!

A Few Things Friday!

Happy Friday!!

It’s been quite a while since I’ve done a Friday post!  My randomly busy summer schedule has been getting in the way of my blog writing! Luckily, my summer schoolwork will be ending soon, so I can get back to posting!

I was looking on Pinterest the other day when I stumbled upon Stephanie Ryan Art.

The embedded link takes you to her Etsy shop, which is filled with tons of bright and beautiful watercolor paintings!

I have decided that a few of these painting will look FANTASTIC in my new apartment!

Here are a few of my favorites!

I love how colorful and vibrant this one is!

I think it would look great in the living room or the kitchen!

I love that this one is a heart! Super cute!!

Each of these paintings would look perfect in a shabby chic picture frame!

I just love how happy all these paintings are!

I think they will add some fun to my new apartment with Kylie!  Our current apartment is very dull and quite ugly!

I can’t wait to move in and decorate our new one!

Have a fantastic weekend!

A Few Things Friday – Bows!!

Happy Friday everyone!

I absolutely LOOOOOOOOVE bows!! (Thus the name of my blog!)

I don’t want to bore you with a bunch of random bow nonsense, so I’ll keep this short!

I didn’t really get into bows until my freshman year of college.  One day I decided to make one, and I haven’t stopped making them since!

I make the majority of my bows out a ribbon.  I probably have over 300 spools of ribbon! (WOW!!)  Whenever I see a pretty ribbon I just HAVE to buy it!! Ribbon is one of my weaknesses! (Along with Burt’s Bees chapstick!)

Whenever I see bows and bow quotes on Pinterest, I just have to pin them!

ImageI love this quote!  It holds true for a lot of my crafts!! Whenever there is an empty space, I try to fill it with a bow!

Bows just add so much to a project! Don’t you think?!

I found this bow hat on Pinterest the other day, and I think I’m going to have to buy it!  I don’t ever wear hats, but this one is cute enough for me to give the style a try! It comes in pink too, which is super exciting! Pink is my favorite color! (My blog name explained again!)

If you want one of these adorable hats, follow this link!

ImageI found this on Pinterest a while ago, and I think it’s hilarious!! I don’t quite believe what this picture says but it’s funny nonetheless!

I typically wear bows on the back of my head, which according to the picture means I’m not interested in men!

I guess I should start wearing bows on the top of my head to ensure I’m sending out the right message!  The only problem with that is, I don’t have very thick hair so I might look a little ridiculous! Oh well!!

Do you love bows too?! How do you wear your bows?! Do these definitions hold true for you?!
