Hi Planners!

CHERRIES!!!! I love these colors together and my little cherries! So pretty! So cute! πŸ™‚

Here’s a better look at the printable!

The greens and reds compliment each other so well!

Before I give you the file, there are a few things I’d like to say.Β  I spent a lot of time designing and creating this printable, so please be kind when you use it.

  • Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes printables are for personal use only
  • You may not re-sell, redistribute, or claim this work as your own
  • If you post this on the internet, please give the credit to Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes and link it back to my blog (

Enough of the heavy stuff! Now it’s time for the stickers!

Watercolor Wednesday – Pineapple Practice!

Hi everyone!

I have some watercolor trial and error paintings to share with you on this Watercolor Wednesday!

IMG_4078I bought a few new watercolor brushes at Michael’s over the weekend, and I couldn’t wait to try them out!

There are a few things I would really like to change about these paintings, but since I’ve only been practicing for a little over a week, I don’t think these are too bad!

IMG_4085I got the idea to paint a pineapple off of Pinterest!

If it weren’t for the one rouge triangle (I’m sure you can guess which one I’m talking about), I would absolutely love this!

I got a little wild and used two different greens for the leaves!Β  I used a darker blue green and a lighter yellow green.Β  I think the effect is quite nice! πŸ™‚

The pineapple was pretty easy, so I’ll definitely be trying it again soon!

IMG_4088I love the way these flowers turned out! I’m pretty happy with the “bloom” too!

My paint set didn’t come with a purple, so I mixed a few colors to make my own.

Next time, I’ll use a smaller brush for the stems.Β  They’re just a little too thick for my liking!Β  I’ll also make the stems a little longer (or move the bow up a little), so there’s greenery coming out of the bottom of the bow.

All in all, I’m pretty pleased with this week’s paintings!

I’ll be back next week with some more progress!

Happy Crafting!!

DIY Hand Embroidery Motif – Blueberry Bush

Hi everyone!

I got some new embroidery books the other day.  Here’s my first project from one of my new books!

  • Stitched Blooms by Carina Envoldsen-Harris (get it here)
  • Embroidery hoop
  • Embroidery floss
  • Fabric (I used gingham)
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Sharpie
  • Needle

IMG_0720DMC Floss Colors:

  • 699 – green
  • 796 – dark blue
  • 799 – light blue

Design courtesy of Stitched Blooms
This is the blueberry motif we will be using.

IMG_0724Print out the motif and trace it with your Sharpie.

IMG_0730Trace the image onto your fabric and hoop your fabric.

IMG_0731We’re going to start with the green thread.

IMG_0738Use the Back Stitch for each portion of the stem.

IMG_0743IMG_0746IMG_0752The motif shows two lines of stitches for the base stem.  You can do two like the motif (and I) did or you can choose to do only one.

IMG_0755If you want to be daring, you can even fill in between the two portions of the base stem.

IMG_0760Now, we’re going to move onto the Lazy Daisies.

IMG_0764I have never stitched this many Lazy Daisies before.  It was actually pretty fun!

IMG_0767IMG_0770IMG_0772Once the Lazy Daisies are done, we’ll move on to the blueberries.

IMG_0777Start with the dark blue thread and Back Stitch two of the berries at the top.

IMG_0778Stitch two more berries with the dark blue thread.

IMG_0784Finish off the blueberry bush with some light blue berries.

IMG_0950Our blueberry bush is complete!

Don’t you love it?!  I sure do!!

Are you following us on Instagram yet (pinkbowstwinkletoes)?!  You should be!!
