February Functional Planner Stickers: Free Printable

Hello Planner Friends!

I have February’s sticker freebie all ready for you!

img_8170

I’m really loving the pink and red hues this month!

I went with a silver accent again just like I did with the January functional freebie!

Instead of a “Hello, February” theme, I went for the obvious Valentine’s Day theme this month.  You don’t have to use this kit during Valentine’s week or February at all if you don’t want to though!

img_8145

Before I give you the printable file, there are a few things I’d like to say.  I spent a lot of time designing and creating this printable, so please be kind when you use it.

  • Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes printables are for personal use only
  • You may not re-sell, redistribute, or claim this work as your own
  • If you post this on the internet, please give the credit to Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes and link it back to my blog (pinkbowstwinkletoes.com)

Enough of the heavy stuff! Now it’s time for the stickers!

I’m providing you this printable in both a PNG and PDF file format.  I’ve found that the PNG prints richer colors than the PDF.  It’s up to you which file you use though!

To download the PNG file:

  1. Click on the image above
  2. Click “view full size”
  3. Right click and save image
  4. Open saved file and print
  5. ENJOY!!

If you skip step 2 and don’t click the “view full size” button, the image will save in a much smaller format and will print incorrectly.

You can download the PDF file here, PBTT February Functional Sticker Sheet.

Be sure to tag me in any and all Instagram posts featuring my stickers and your planner! (@pinkbowstwinkletoes and #pinkbowstwinkletoes)  I would love to see what you do with them! :)

Happy Planning!

PLAY! by Sephora Review: January 2017

Hello everyone!

My PLAY! by Sephora box has arrived, and I’m excited to share it with you!

img_7932

The theme for January is “Beauty, Set, Go.”

A fun, little “fresh start” “girl on-the-go” kind of thing!

img_7933

Box Contents:

  • tarte – FRXXXTION Stick
  • OUAI – Treatment Masque
  • Tory Burch – Love Relentlessly
  • Youth to the People – Kale + Spinach + Hyaluronic Acid Age Prevention Cream
  • Clinique – Almost Lipstick in Black Honey
  • AmorePacific – Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+
  • Drawstring Bag

img_7939

tarte – FRXXXTION Stick

I’ve never seen face cleanser in a stick form before.  I think the stick form is pretty cool!  When cleanser comes in a bottle, I inevitably end up dumping a little on the floor at some point. Since this soap is in stick form, that’ll never happen.  How handy!!

I’ve never tried a charcoal cleanser before, so the black color of the soap was new for me.  It was rather fun!  I actually saw the tip of my nose turning black, so I hopped out of the shower so I could see what my entire face looked like! 🙂

img_7935

OUAI – Treatment Masque

Since receiving the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair mask several months ago, I’ve fallen in love with hair masks!

I enjoy trying new things (as evidenced by my love of subscription boxes), so I was quite intrigued when I saw this hair mask in my box.

I was rather surprised when my PLAY! BOOK said that one treatment could end up using the entire sample bottle.  I don’t like the idea that you may only get one use out of a sample.  It seems like a bit of a waste to me.  How can you accurately judge whether or not you like a product or whether a product likes you off of one application?  Luckily, I only ended up using about half for my first treatment.

My hair feels very soft today, but I think I like my Briogeo mask better.  I don’t end up using nearly as much product, and I get the same results.

img_7936

Tory Burch – Love Relentlessly

My nose has been rather stuffed up recently, so I haven’t been able to tell whether or not I like this fragrance! 🙁

However, I do really like the pink and gold packaging!

img_7938

Youth to the People – Kale + Spinach + Hyaluronic Acid Age Prevention Cream

This moisturizer is very light and agrees well with my skin.

I had a problem last week with a moisturizer that was too heavy for me (uh oh!) and am very glad that this one is light.  I also like that it’s anti-aging!  It’s never too early to start preventing wrinkles!! 🙂

img_7937

Clinique – Almost Lipstick in Black Honey

Clinique is actually the first makeup brand I ever tried, and I used it for many, many years.  I still use them for the majority of my skincare.

Throughout the years, I’ve received tons and tons of free samples of Black Honey, but hadn’t ever really given it a try until now.

The lipstick appears to be quite dark but is actually very light once it’s applied.  It slightly enhances my natural lip color and is quite pretty.  It’s perfect for everyday wear!

img_7934

AmorePacific – Color Control Cushion Compact Broad Spectrum SPF 50+

I’ve been waiting for a foundation/BB/CC cream sample to come in my box!  Unfortunately, neither of these colors worked for me.  I have very fair skin, and both of these were just a little too dark for me.

That’s okay though.  I know how difficult it must be to match the skin tone of each and every subscriber that Sephora has.

I do like that this sample came with two colors though.  I’m sure it worked out for many people!

This month’s drawstring bag is plastic on the front and mesh on the back.

The quote is, “Sweat is just another way to glow.”

This bag and quote definitely goes with the theme for the month, but I am not a fan.

That’s okay though.  I’ve been subscribing for nine months now, and this is the first bag I have truly disliked.  I’m actually glad I don’t like it, because I won’t feel bad when I throw it away! I like all the other month’s bag, so I haven’t thrown a single one away yet!

img_7945

January wasn’t my favorite month of PLAY! by Sephora, but I do like a few of the products.

I’m going to tuck the Clinique lipstick in my purse and finish off the hair mask sometime this week!

Do you subscribe to PLAY! by Sephora?!

What do you think of your January box?

POPSUGAR Must Have Review: January 2017

img_7526

Box Contents:

  • Goldfaden MD – Fresh A Peel Multi Acid Resurfacing Peel
  • May Designs – Desk Calendar & Notecard Set
  • Daily Concepts – Your Hair Wrap Towel
  • Manduka – eQua Mat Towel in Playa
  • Sourcebooks, Inc. – Instant Happy Notes
  • Dean & Deluca – Peppermint Loose Leaf Tea
  • Glade – N°3 Free – Coconut and Beach Woods Candle

img_7522

Goldfaden MD – Fresh A Peel Multi Acid Resurfacing Peel – Retail Value $85

I received a small face peel sample in my PLAY! by Sephora box a few months back and really liked it.  Because of that, I was pretty pleased to see this product in my box this month.

Unlike the peel from Sephora, I can’t feel the dead skin balling up on my skin when I use this peel.  I know that sounds gross, but when I can feel the balls of skin, I know that the peel is working!

Although I can’t feel my skin peeling, I’m still holding out hope that I will enjoy this product.  Maybe I’ll feel/see some results after a few more uses.

img_7523

May Designs – Desk Calendar & Notecard Set – Retail Value $25

Those of you that follow me on Instagram (@pinkbowstwinkletoes) know how much I love May Designs!  So you can probably guess how excited I was to see this calendar in my box!

I was excited for two different reasons.  The first reason was because May Designs is one of my favorite stationery brands!  The second reason is that my mom has had her eye on this calendar for a while now!  I knew the second I saw what it was that I would be gifting it to her!

She was so excited to receive the calendar and already has it set up on her desk!

A fun feature of this calendar is that each month card turns into a note card when the month is over!  Simply cut along a line printed on the back, and there you go!  Functional and cute! That’s a win-win in my book! 🙂

img_7515

Daily Concepts – Your Hair Wrap Towel – Retail Value $18

I’ve seen tons of hair wraps like this over the years but have never tried one out.  I wrap my hair in a towel for about a minute maybe two after my shower while I put my pajamas on.

Since I only wrap my hair for short periods, this isn’t the ideal product for me.  It’s fun to experiment with though!  Maybe now that I have one of these, I’ll wrap my hair for longer periods of time.  We will see!

img_7524

Manduka – eQua Mat Towel in Playa – Retail Value $38

Although I wish I did, I do not currently do yoga.  I have in the past and plan to again in the future though!

In the meantime, I think I’ll just be using this as a regular towel.  It’s very soft and appears to be quite absorbent!

img_7516

Sourcebooks, Inc. – Instant Happy Notes – Retail Value $8.99

This is another product that I gave to my mom this month.  Man, she is making out like a bandit isn’t she?! 🙂

My mom loves leaving little notes for people, so these happy, sticky notes are just perfect for her!

Here are some examples of the notes inside.

Super cute, huh?! 🙂

img_7521

Dean & Deluca – Peppermint Loose Leaf Tea – Retail Value $10.75

I love drinking tea, so I was very excited that I saw loose-leaf tea was the snack item included in this month’s box!

This tea is very pepperminty and the perfect afternoon pick-me-up.  I’ve already enjoyed several cups and will enjoy many more in the future!

When I opened the tin, I was pleased to see how much tea was packed inside.  I think I’ll be making cups from this tin for months and months to come!

img_7520

Glade – N°3 Free – Coconut and Beach Woods Candle – Retail Value $4.99

My last few years of college I became quite the candle fanatic.  I loved having one lit in my apartment!

Although I do love coconut, I’m not a huge fan of coconut scented items.  That’s okay though.  I have quite a few candle-loving friends that I sure would be willing to take this off my hands!

img_7513

The total retail value for this moth’s box is $190.73.  That’s the highest it’s been in a long time!

While this month wasn’t my absolute favorite, there were still some amazing items in this box!

Easy DIY: Felt Pom Pom Garland

Hello Crafters!

I have a super easy, super fun, and super cute DIY project to share with you today!

img_7419

Supplies:

  • Felt Balls (I bought this pack on Amazon)
  • Twine
  • Sharp scissors
  • Large eye needle
  • Clear nail polish (optional)

img_7400

The felt balls I purchased are a grab bag of 50, so I had no idea what colors I was going to get until I opened the package.

1) Separate your felt balls by color

This will make it much easier to see what colors you have and what color scheme you want for your garland.

img_7402

2) Choose your garland color

After looking at my color choices, I chose orange, purple, and pink for my first garland.

img_7401

3) Lay your balls out in some sort of pattern

I chose an alternating pattern, because my choices were limited by the number of purple balls I had.

img_7403

4) Thread your large eye needle with twine

I chose white twine for this garland, because I thought it would go best with my color palette.

img_7404

5) Begin stringing your garland

I eyeballed where I thought the middle of each pom pom was and threaded them accordingly.  If your balls aren’t perfectly centered, that’s okay!  I know that a few of mine are a little wonky!  That just adds a littler personality to the project! 🙂

img_7405

6) Keep on threading

img_7406

Once all your pom poms are threaded, we’re going to tie off the garland.

7) Create a small loop at the end of your garland

You can either cut your twine before or after creating your loop.  I cut my thread after just in case something went wrong with the string or loop.

img_7407

8) Tie a knot to create a small loop for hanging your garland

9) Cut off the excess twine

img_7408

10) Do steps 7-9 again to create another loop on the other side of the garland

(Optional step) 11) Paint your knots with clear nailpolish

I like to paint my knots with polish to insure that they don’t come untied at any time.

img_7409

12) Enjoy your pretty new garland!

img_7421

After looking at my felt balls again, I saw that I had enough neutral ones to make another garland!

img_7410

I used cream, taupe, and black for my second garland.

img_7411

I went with a similar alternating design for this garland too.

img_7412

In about 20 minutes, I made two very pretty, very fun garlands!

These beauties are going to be perfect for photo props, bedroom/office decor, and party decor!

I hope you enjoyed this super easy garland tutorial!

January Functional Planner Stickers: Free Printable

Happy New Year!

I hope 2017 is going well for you all so far!  If it’s not, I’m sure this month’s sticker freebie will perk you up a bit! 🙂

img_6786

I love the dark teal color theme of January in the Erin Condren LifePlanner.

I thought silver would complement these teals beautifully, so I incorporated some glittery, silver accents into this month’s printable!

img_6788

Here’s a close-up of the full boxes.  Since taking these photos, I have added a comma between “Hello” and “January.”  You’ll be able to see the change in the photo down below.

The little glitter bursts remind me of fireworks, which are perfect for the new year!

I’m going to be using this kit in my personal planner this week.  I love that my kits can be easily used in both the ECLP and personal planners with vertical inserts!
