Pepper – Classic with a Twist – Cornflower Multidimensional Shimmer

This blue color is so fun!  It really pops and is perfect for the summer!

I’ll be painting my toes with it very soon! 🙂

Mickey – Classic with a Twist – Pink Geranium Ghost Iridescent

Hot pink polishes are always great for spring and summer!  I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of this one!

Your Lip Addiction – Tinted Lip Oil Treatment – Covet

When I saw that a lip oil was going to be May’s featured beauty product, I was very excited!  There’s a similar product out there that I would really like to try out.

I’m still trying to decide how I feel about this lip product.  I knew it would be oily, but I wasn’t expecting it to be as oily as it is.  I feel like it might be a touch too liquidy.

On a positive note, I really like the subtle color payoff that this lip treatment has.  It’s a very natural pink color that is perfect for everyday!

After a few more days using the product, I’ll have a definite opinion on it!

Here’s the May quote and coupon!

As always, it’s good for two uses and expires at the end of next month!

I’m pretty pleased with this month’s box!  These polishes are perfect for summer!

Eyeshadow 101 – Warm Gold Shimmer

This eyeshadow stick is a crème to powder formula!  I have two other Eyeshadow 101s and a very similar product from Nars.

IMG_8344

Each Eyeshadow 101 stick has shadow on one end and a smudger tool on the other.

I like how this product has a smudger on one end!  It makes blending the shadow so easy!

IMG_8346

I went ahead and swatched the shadow for you.

I know my hand looks rather red in the picture, but I have very fair skin!

The gold shadow has a great shimmer to it but isn’t to harsh for me!  I love it!

Nail Polishes

Meghan – Classic With a Twist – Flaming Red Crème

Shortly after opening my box, I painted my toes with this beautiful red polish!

I would classify this red to be more orangey and less of a true red.  I still love it though!

It really POPS against my skin tone and is perfect for springtime!

Kay – Classic With a Twist – Warm Taupe With Gold Microshimmer

I haven’t used this polish yet, but I think it’s going to be a great neutral for me! I really love its subtle shimmer!

Perhaps I’ll paint my toenails with Kay when Meghan chips off!

Ipsy Review – June 2014

Hi everyone!!

I just got my first Ipsy bag, and I can’t wait to share it with you!!

Ipsy is a beauty subscription service that sends you 4-5 deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products each month for only $10!

I found out about Ipsy six months ago, and I’ve wanted to try it ever since.  I was on the wait list for several months before I (awkwardly) posted on Facebook to skip the wait!

Would you like to be an Ipsy subscriber?! Follow this link to get more information and sign up!

ImageI went home for Father’s Day weekend, so I didn’t receive my bag until I returned to my apartment on Sunday evening.  I was pretty excited when I saw the shiny pink envelope in my mailbox!

Image“Pretty in Paradise”  is the theme for June!

ImageMy bag included:

  • Rebecca Minkoff makeup bag
  • Be A Bombshell – Lash Out Mascara
  • Marc Anthony – Dream Waves Beach Spray
  • NYX – Butter Gloss – Éclair
  • Jesse’s Girl – Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
  • OLEHENRIKSEN – truth to go wipes

ImageI absolutely LOVE the makeup bag this month!  It’s Rebecca Minkoff and super adorable!  The pineapples are perfect for a summery paradise theme!

ImageBe A Bombshell – Lash Out Mascara – FULL SIZE

I’ve really been wanting to try a new mascara, so I’m pretty happy to have received this is my bag!

One odd thing about this mascara is that is has a strong garlic smell if you put the wand near your nose!  GROSS!!

I suffered through the weird smell to try out the mascara and it’s actually pretty nice.  You can’t smell the funky garlic when it’s applied to your lashes.

ImageMarc Anthony – Dream Waves Beach Spray

This spray smells amazing!! It’s very coconut-y!!

The instructions say to apply the spray to either damp or dry hair.

I tried it out on my dry hair and it didn’t really do much for me.  I have very straight, fine hair, so that’s probably why it didn’t work! Oh well!! I’ll see if any of my friends can use it!

ImageNYX – Butter Gloss – Éclair – FULL SIZE

This product has been getting great reviews and I understand why!! I love the smooth (and buttery) formula!

The gloss also has a subtle sweet smell that I really like!

Éclair is the perfect color for me!  It’s a light pink that is very natural and perfect for everyday wear!

ImageJesse’s Girl – Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner – Black – FULL SIZE

I’ve never worn liquid eyeliner, but this one seems nice!  It has a very fine tip, which will be good for achieving the perfect line!

I’m kind of a spazz, so when I tried it out on my eyelid the line was rather wavy!  Oh well, practice makes perfect!!

ImageOLEHENRIKSEN – truth to go wipes – 10 count

I’ve recently started using makeup remover wipes, and I was pretty excited to see these in my June bag!

The excitement dissipated when I smelled them.  At first, the wipes smelled pleasantly like oranges.  Then, after smelling them the whole time I was cleaning my face, the smell started to make me sick.  It was an unbearable combination of sugar and citrus.  I figured the smell would go away after a few minutes, but it did not.  I smelled the sweet, citrus scent until I took a shower and washed my face again!

I think I’m going to save these wipes for emergency purposes only!!

ImageI’m very pleased with my first Ipsy bag, and I can’t wait to see what I get next month!!
