Busy Book Printables – Travel Activities for Kids

Earlier this summer, I debuted a new printable series here on Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes. The series has wrapped for this summer, so I’m coming at you today with a roundup of all the printables included in the Busy Book Series. These sheets can be printed out to make a booklet full of travel activities for kids. Keep your little ones or not-so-little ones entertained anytime you’re traveling, waiting, or just need a minute alone.

What is a Busy Book?

If you’ve been following along all summer, then you already know. If not, here you go! This summer, I released printables each week that can be put together in a mini binder to create a Busy Book, which will provide hours and hours of entertainment for your little ones while you travel this summer and beyond!

These travel activities for kids include coloring pages, games, and more! Each printable fits perfectly in a mini binder or an A5 planner! I chose to make everything in this series A5 size so you could easily (and cheaply) purchase mini binders for your children!

You can find mini binders pretty much anywhere binders are sold. My favorites are from the Target Dollar Spot and Amazon.

Busy Book Series:

This series is made up of five printables. One coloring page and four games.

Floral Coloring Page:

Get their creative juices flowing with a coloring page! Markers, crayons, colored pencils, or paint – all are great options for filling in the pretty page. If you’re actively traveling, I might avoid paint. That could get super messy!

Dots & Boxes Game:

While making this printable, I discovered that this game is also called Pigs in a Pen, Dot to Dot, Squares, and much, much more! Whatever you like to call it, it’s fun, easy to play, and can get intense if you play with the right people!

Reading & Book Log: Free Personal Size Planner Printable - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

Reading & Book Log: Free Personal Size Planner Printable

Hello, hello!

I’m back again with another fun bu-jo inspired printable! Y’all love, Love, LOVED the A5 version of my Reading & Book Log insert, so I decided to make a personal book log as well. I must admit that I love, Love, LOVED it too, so I was so excited to see the warm reception it got from y’all!

Reading & Book Log: Free Personal Size Planner Printable - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

Not only is this printable a book log, it also doubles as a coloring page! Of course, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to color in your bookshelf.

There are several ways to use this bullet-journal style printable. You can write down all the books you want to read this month/quarter/year (whatever time frame works best for you) in the bookshelf and then color the books in once you’ve read them. You could also use the “books” as a progress bar and color in a little as you go. Another thing you could do is wait until you’ve read a book to add it to your log. As you can see, the possibilities are virtually endless!

I chose to add a little, potted succulent to my shelf to make things even more fun! You could also add picture frames, vases of flowers, trinkets, etc. to liven your shelf even more!

Reading & Book Log: Free A5 Planner Printable

Hello, everyone!

Today, I’m coming at you with what I think is the cutest planner printable EVER!!! For all you readers and want-to-be readers out there, here is a reading and book log to help you keep track of your progress.

Reading & Book Log: Free A5 Planner Printable - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

I’m not a bullet journal kind of girl, but I absolutely love all their creative spread ideas! The logs and the trackers are too cute, but I don’t have the patience to draw them out each month. So, I thought it’d be a great idea to turn some adorable bu-jo spread ideas into printables that you can print out each month!

I created two different versions of this printable. One version has five rows of shorter books and the other has four rows of taller books. You can pick your poison below!

Not only is this printable a book log, it also doubles as a coloring page!! Of course, if you don’t want to, you don’t have to color in your bookshelf.

I’m planning to write down all the books I want to read this month/quarter/year (whatever the time frame) in my bookshelf and then color the book in once I’ve read it. You could also use the “books” as a progress bar and color in a little as you go. Another thing you could do is wait until you’ve read a book to add it to your log. As you can see, the possibilities are virtually endless!

To make my log a little more fun, I added a potted succulent on top of a few of the stacked books! You can add plants, candles, photo frames, etc. to make this bookshelf all your own!
