Hi everyone!
I have a quick and easy embroidery tutorial to share with you!
I’ve been talking about practicing the Stem/Outline stitch for a while now, and I’m finally getting around to doing it.
This project is made (almost) entirely with the Stem Stitch.
- Doodle Stitching: The Motif Collection by Aimee Ray (get it here)
- Embroidery floss
- Embroidery hoop (4 inch)
- Needle
- Scissors
- Pencil
- Sharpie
- Fabric
- 552 – dark purple
- 553 – medium purple
This is the cute, little octopus we’ll be stitching!
Then, trace with a pencil onto your fabric.
I used the medium purple floss for the body.
In the next few days, I’ll be uploading another project featuring the Stem/Outline Stitch where the stitches are much tighter.
I believe it took me less than half and hour!
You can either use the Satin Stitch or French Knots for the eyes. Whatever you prefer!
What a cutie!
