FabFitFun Winter 2021 Unboxing and Review - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

I know, I know. We’re no longer in 2021, but I’m running a bit behind here! I had every intention of getting this post up last month, but it just didn’t happen. Oh well, though. We’re here now, and today, I’m sharing my FabFitFun winter 2021 review with you! Are you excited? Because I am!

FabFitFun Winter 2021 Review

Herschel Supply Co. Mica Tote - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

Herschel Supply Co. Mica Tote – Retail Value $60

I LOVE this bag!! And I truly mean that!

Each season, I usually select a bag during the customization window. Honestly, this last time, I was not planning to get the bag. I was planning to pick a skincare item. When I went to make my selections, the skincare item was unavailable, so I picked the Mica Tote instead. I can’t tell you now glad I am I had to go with the tote after all!

My FabFitFun winter 2021 box was delivered during the first week of December, and I immediately put this tote to use. I was a bridesmaid in December and took this bag with me to hold all my things while we were getting ready. I’ve also used it multiple times to carry my laptop back and forth to my family’s houses, I’ve packed it as an overnight bag, and more!

It’s just so functional (and cute to boot!) I love the extended handles and the fact that it has a zipper. It’s so easy to throw all your stuff inside, zip it up, and head out the door!

The Mica Tote is currently sold out on the Herschel Supply Co. website, but I’m linking it anyway in hopes that it’s in stock when you go to look.

Nordstrom has a few patterned options in stock, which are also cute! The pink gingham one is especially cheerful!

SOIA & KYO Woven Scarfigan - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

SOIA & KYO Woven Scarfigan with Fringe – Retail Value $85

So, you may not know this about me, but I’m almost always cold inside. I always have a cardigan or jacket with me if I’m going to be going inside anywhere at all.

Something you definitely don’t know about me is that my office is a literal ice box! It is SO cold in there. I have a space heater, a blanket, and now a scarfigan at my desk!

I decided to bring the scarfigan to work with me because it’s cute, and I think it will go with most things if I throw it on over my outfit during the workday.

Now, you may be asking yourself, what exactly is a scarfigan?! The best way I can describe it is this: it has the shape of a poncho but opens up in front like a cardigan. It’s super soft and cozy, and the one I received is the prettiest combo of blush, beige, and cream.

Catch me cuddling up with my space heater, blanket, and scarfigan at the office real soon!

Cocktail shaker and milk frother - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

Masontops Mason Jar Cocktail Shaker Kit – Retail Value $40

Cocktails, anyone?! When I saw a cocktail shaker was available this last season, I jumped on it!

I received a Masontops tumbler in my fall 2020 box and love it! I use it for smoothies at least once a week. Such a great product.

Just like the tumbler, the cocktail shaker is made of glass and has a gorgeous teal lid and accents.

I’ve not yet made a cocktail with my shaker yet, but I’m really excited to give it a whirl soon. I love cucumber cocktails, so I’m thinking that’s what I’m going to attempt to make first!

Epare Milk Frother – Retail Value $25

I’ve had my eye on a milk frother for months now!

Since I switched jobs and starting working from home, I’ve been going to Starbucks less and less. I still really enjoy coffee though, so a milk frother is the perfect addition to my at-home coffee bar. (That makes me sound cool. I don’t actually have a coffee bar but rather a Keurig and a few DIY canisters in my kitchen!)

I’m in no way a frothing expert. I’ve not yet figured out how much milk is the right amount nor have I figured out how long to froth before pouring the milk into my coffee cup. All things I will learn in time though!

If you have any tips, feel free to share them with me!

Tula and Summer Fridays skincare - Pink Bows & Twinkle Toes

TULA Skincare Purifying Face Cleanser – Retail Value $28

If you follow any fashion or lifestyle influencers on Instagram, then I’m sure you’ve heard about Tula at some point over the last year or so. Tula invests a lot in their influencer campaigns (as someone who works in social media and marketing, I can appreciate that!) and has gotten a ton of hype!

I’ve always wondered what the hype was about, so I was excited to grab their face cleanser as one of my winter customizations.

I’ve been using this cleanser for a few weeks now and have been enjoying it! It has a very clean scent (which I’m not used to but is very pleasant), is gentle on my skin, and works well with my sonic face brush. The bottle is also 6.7 oz. which seems larger than most prestige face cleansers. What a deal!

All in all, I’m very pleased with Tula and would be interested in giving some of their other skincare products a try too.

Summer Fridays CC Me Serum – Retail Value $66

I received my first Summer Fridays product in a subscription box many moons ago. I can’t figure out which box or when it was though. Regardless, it was a hydrating face mask that I still enjoy from time to time.

Because of my prior experience with the brand, I was excited to see this vitamin c serum pop up as a customization option this season. I love vitamin c serums, so I was pumped to give the Summer Fridays one a try.

The CC Me Serum is a morning serum as opposed to an evening serum, which is not a big deal at all. I typically apply serums at night after my shower, so I’m having to retrain myself to apply this one in the morning before my makeup. Because of the time switch, I’ve forgotten to put it on quite a few times.

The times I have remembered to use it have been great! I discovered a while back that I can’t apply vitamin c serums every day. My skin prefers if I apply every other day or every two days instead, so that’s what I always aim to do. I have quite a bit of texture on my forehead and have found that my every other day/every two days regime works really well to eliminate those issues.

So there you have it, my FabFitFun winter 2021 review. This season’s box had over $300 worth of goodies! How great is that?!

I think my favorite item from the Fab Fit Fun winter 2021 box is the Mica Tote. You probably already guessed that though!

If you’re not already a subscriber and want to snag next season’s box, I can get you $10 off! What a deal!
