Allure Beauty Box Review – July 2015

Hi everyone!

It’s time for my monthly Allure review!

IMG_3459You might have noticed that the Allure box changed it’s name.  What used to be Sample Society is now Beauty Box. The Allure subscription box used to be fulfilled by beautybar.com, but now Allure has taken over the fulfillment process and changed a few things.

IMG_3464The mini magazine is still the same.  It features every product included in the box and information about why they picked that specific product.

IMG_3467Box Contents:

  • Bumble and Bumble – Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Heat/UV Protective Primer
  • Oscar Blandi – Pronto Invisible Volumizing Dry Shampoo Spray
  • Supergoop – Defense Refresh Setting Mist Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50
  • Estée Lauder – Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum Synchronized Complex II
  • Estée Lauder – Sumptuous Infinite Daring Length + Volume Mascara
  • Invisibobble – The Traceless Hair Ring

I’ve heard great things about Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil, so I was super excited when I saw this primer in my box!  I was pretty impressed with the size of this sample!  All of the other Bumble and Bumble samples I’ve received in the past have been the size of those puny perfume samples that people always get for free.

I’ve used the primer several times now, and I like it.  It smells great!

I’m a big fan of washing my hair, so I never end up using the dry shampoo samples I get in my subscription boxes.  I’ll have to see if one of my friends wants this.

Once again, I’m impressed with the size of this sample!  So nice and big!

IMG_3476Supergoop – Defense Refresh Setting Mist Broad Spectrum Sunscreen SPF 50

I can’t tell you how excited I was when I saw this setting spray in my box!  I just ran out of the setting spray I usually use, so this couldn’t have come at a better time!

I love how fine this mist is and the fact that it includes SPF!  So handy!!

IMG_3486Estée Lauder – Advanced Night Repair Eye Serum Synchronized Complex II

I’m pretty loyal to my nightly serum, except when I travel!  My nightly serum can be a little bulky to pack, so lately I’ve been traveling with random samples I’ve acquired.  This one will be added to the mix!

I have been testing it out for the last few nights, and I do like the formula!  It’s light and hasn’t made me break out or anything!  That’s always a plus!!

IMG_3478Estée Lauder – Sumptuous Infinite Daring Length + Volume Mascara

I loving trying out different mascara samples!  I’m always on the hunt for the best one!  Unfortunately, this one isn’t it.

I find this mascara to be a little to wet.  After application, quite a bit of mascara transferred onto my eyelid/brow bone area.  Super annoying!

IMG_3485Invisibobble – The Traceless Hair Ring

I’m not going to lie, I was pretty weirded out by this product when I first saw it!  These hair ties look just like the dorky key chains my elementary/middle school gym teachers used to have!

After I got over my initial skepticism, I gave the hair ties a try and really liked them!  They have incredible hold, and leave barely any kink in my hair after being removed!  What a deal!

IMG_3552I’m loving this first month of the Beauty Box!  I hope each month continues to be this good or better!
